I have a simple philosophy about legal fees:

  • Be affordable.
  • Be honest.
  • Be clear.

Most attorneys charge a retainer, then charge additional fees for each court appearance. The money, which may seem reasonable at first, quickly adds up. Even simple cases typically require several court appearances — in fact, four or five is not unusual.

Unfortunately, fees per appearance encourage attorneys to seek unnecessary delays — more delays mean more appearances mean more money. In fact, there is a term for it — churning the file.

This strikes me as dishonest, and I won’t do it.

I make it easy to afford quality, experienced, effective legal representation. That’s why I usually charge one low flat fee, written on an agreement that plainly spells out what is and what is not included.

In other words, my fee never goes up and I never seek extra money from my clients, even if a case requires more work than anticipated.

I make it easy for my clients to obtain high-quality legal help by offering multiple options for payment:

  • Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover
  • Payment plans available
  • Special limited representation fee plans when appropriate.

I am committed to providing affordable quality legal representation, and give my clients as many options as possible.
